Data Deletion Instructions

1. Overview
If you want to delete your data from Khansland, you have several options depending on what you want to remove. This page explains what data we hold, how to delete it, and what happens when you do.
2. Delete your entire account
To permanently delete your Khansland account and all associated data:
- Option 1: Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account and follow the prompts
- Option 2: Email support@khansland.com.bd with the subject "Account Deletion Request" from the email address associated with your account
What happens when you delete your account:
- Your profile, preferences, and settings are permanently removed
- Your generated content (AI outputs, posts) is permanently deleted
- Your wallet balance and credit history are erased
- Any connected social media accounts are disconnected and tokens are deleted
- Scheduled posts are cancelled
- Your KL Points balance is forfeited
Timeline: Account deletion is processed within 30 days of your request.
3. Delete specific data without closing your account
You can remove specific data while keeping your account:
- Generated content: Delete individual items from your generation history
- Facebook connection: Settings → Facebook → Disconnect (removes all tokens, cancels scheduled posts, deletes Page list)
- Profile information: Edit or clear fields in Settings → Profile
- Notification history: Cleared automatically after 90 days, or contact us for immediate removal
4. Data we retain after deletion
Even after account deletion, we may retain limited data as required by law:
- Payment records: Retained for 7 years for tax compliance under Bangladesh law. These records contain transaction amounts and dates but not your personal profile information.
- Fraud prevention data: If your account was terminated for policy violation, we may retain a hashed identifier to prevent re-registration. This contains no readable personal information.
- Legal holds: If your data is subject to legal proceedings, we will retain it until the matter is resolved.
5. Facebook data deletion
If you signed up or logged in using Facebook, or connected a Facebook Page to Gigs:
To remove all Facebook-related data from Khansland:
- Go to Settings → Facebook → Disconnect (if you have a Page connected)
- This removes: your Facebook user ID, Page list, all access tokens, and cancels any scheduled posts
If you used Facebook Login to create your account:
- Disconnecting Facebook does not delete your Khansland account
- Your Khansland account continues to work with email/password login
- To fully remove all data, delete your Khansland account (see Section 2)
You can also request data deletion through Facebook:
- Go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites
- Find "Khansland" and click Remove
- Check "Delete all activity" if prompted
- We will process the deletion callback and remove your Facebook data within 48 hours
6. Data portability
Before deleting your account, you can request a copy of your data:
- Email support@khansland.com.bd with the subject "Data Export Request"
- We will provide your data in a machine-readable format (JSON) within 30 days
- Export includes: profile data, generation history, transaction records, and activity logs
